Welcome to the 1st Holiday Tango Weekend 2019, Dallas, TX. We are so excited to offer this experience to you! This Holiday Tango Weekend is about coming together to learn from exceptional Argentine Tango Masters, dance beautiful Tandas, and enjoy and connect with Tango dancers from around the country. Just in time for the Holidays, this weekend is also about celebrating the New Year in Tango style, doing the thing we love. We are excited to present the 1st HOLIDAY TANGO WEEKEND 2019. This first time event will take place December 27th through 29th.

This Argentine Tango event will comprise of seven (7) hours of instruction, Welcome Milonga, and Special Holiday Tango Gala Dinner with Master Performances and Guest DJ.

We have the honor of hosting, for the first time in Dallas, a wonderful couple from Chicago Rod Relucio and Jenny Teters. These well known dancers and teachers are celebrated throughout the United States for their style, knowledge, and creativity. Rod and Jenny believe that the connection, musicality, and technique are the keys to fully appreciate the beauty of Tango. In their classes they want to concentrate on how to be comfortable inside the embrace, based on the logic and naturalness of movement. Get to know them better on their website:

World renowned Argentine Tango dancers, performers, and choreographers who also play locally, Celina Rotundo & Hugo Patyn will also be in attendance. This couple is known the world over for their stunning and dynamic interpretation and artistry, as well as their ability to connect to their audience with genuine and breathtaking energy and intensity. Through their teaching and performing they aim to positively contribute to the world-wide Tango community and spark the joy of Tango in the people they come in contact with. Exceptional Dj, John Turci is a music scholar, dancer, and DJ. He teaches in the Music Theory/Composition division at the University of Texas at Austin. He has presented his research on tango music in national and international conferences, and is currently writing a book on the early history of the tango. John favors music from the Golden Age of Tango, but over the course of the evening, don’t be surprised if you hear one or two tandas from more contemporary groups, such as the Sexteto Milonguero.�John has DJ’d the top festivals throughout Texas and is thrilled to take part in this Holiday Tango Weekend in Dallas, a community for which he has great affection.

Saturday and Sunday classes are open to 20 leaders and 20 followers only. Reserve your spot ahead of time to be sure to enjoy it. Classes will be held at Pj’s Dancetique Studio located at 940 E. Belt Line Rd #132 Richardson, TX 75081. A Master Class will be held on Sunday with Celina, Hugo, Rod and Jenny teaching together for a unique learning experience.

In addition to classes, we will also host a Welcome Milonga on Friday, December 27th with DJ Rod Relucio also at Pj’s Dancetique Studio.

Saturday night’s Holiday Gala Dinner Milonga with include a show with performance by Rod & Jenny and Celina & Hugo and special guest DJ, John Turci.
Doors open at 7:30pm for will call and a pre-Milonga Reception with open Cash Bar. The Milonga and music will begin at 8pm, dinner will be served at 9pm with the Master Tango Show at 11pm.
Tickets for the Gala Show must be purchased by November 15th. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR!!!

SATURDAY GALA DINNER SHOW

Saturday night’s Holiday Gala Dinner Milonga with include a show with performances by Rod & Jenny and Celina & Hugo and special guest DJ, John Turci.

Doors open at 7:30pm for will call and a pre-Milonga Reception with Cash Bar. The Milonga and music will begin at 8pm, dinner will be served at 9pm with the Master Tango Show at 11pm.
