TANGO LECTURE BY John Turci-Escobar
John holds a Ph.D. from Yale University and is a professor at The University of Texas at Austin, where he teaches classes on music theory and popular music. John is researching and writing a book about the origins of the Argentine tango, and has presented advances of this work in national and international conferences. His most recent publication concerns the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges and his thinking about the tango.
